Why is it???

November 10, 2010

President Bush has been on TV promoting and talking about his book. I plan on buying it and reading it.

Why is it that the haters on the left feel free to say anything they want about President Bush and that’s just A-OK, but if anyone on the right says one thing about President Obama–then they are immediately labeled a RACIST?? I don’t get it.

The left has been saying horrible things about Bush since he was in office and it continues.  I guess they don’t remember the nasty things that were leveled at Bush.  Because if anyone says anything about Obama, well, LOOK OUT.

It’s perfectly ok to say nasty things about a Republican president but not a Democrat I guess……

WHY do people think of Hallowe’en as a HOLIDAY??

It’s not a holiday at all. Never has been.

Am I the enemy???

October 27, 2010

Am I the enemy that President Obama is talking about here??  Since I am a European/American,  I wonder……

I can’t imagine any president calling the citizens of his country “enemies”.

I am not the enemy of fellow United States citizens.  I never have been.

“And if Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, we’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us, if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s gonna be harder and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.”

Last time I checked, we were ONE nation under God.

I think this is just another way to drive a wedge between citizens and I think it was definitely the wrong thing for ANY president to say.

But of course,  you won’t hear about any of this in the mainstream media.

It’s funny…………

I belong to a very left leaning message board.  They are extremely intolerant of anyone who thinks differently then they do.

And, they use vile names to describe conservatives.

Definition of BIGOT

: a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance
big·ot·ed\-gə-təd\ adjective
big·ot·ed·ly adverb

Examples of BIGOT

  1. He was labeled a bigot after making some offensive comments.
  2. <an incorrigible bigot who hasn’t entertained a new thought in years>

This is a perfect description of most of these people on the message board.

I often wonder why I continue to post there? It puzzles me. The only thing I can think of is that not everyone on the board is that way,  and there are actually people I like there.

And then if I were to post an opposing view,  they all have the gang up mentality and reply with the name calling.

One of their favorites is to call any conservative an idiot or stupid.

Nice huh???  For a bunch of “tolerant” people,  (or so they claim) they are mostly very intolerant of differing views.

Recently I was talking with a Black person. Or an African American, or whatever word you use to describe black people.

This person said to me that she does not like being identified as a black person because it has no connection to anything. Whereas African American does have a connection–the African connection.

That’s ok with me. If she doesn’t want to be identified by her skin color, I am absolutely ok with that.

But then don’t call me White. I am an AMERICAN. I am not “just” white. WHITE has absolutely no connection to anything.

After all, she said, people from Japan are referred to as Japanese, people from China are referred to as Chinese.

So, don’t call her a BLACK person, and don’t call me a WHITE person.

She is AFRICAN American and I am just plain old AMERICAN. (with a European ancestry)

France approves burqa ban

September 14, 2010

PARIS — France’s lower house of parliament overwhelmingly approved a ban on wearing burqa-style Islamic veils Tuesday, part of a determined effort to define and protect French values that has disconcerted many in the country’s large Muslim community.

Go to the link to read the full article.

I am in agreement with France’s decision on the burqa ban.

I feel that in order to properly identify someone, that you need to see there whole face.  Just seeing someones eyes is not enough.

Huh,  who knew that the United States was not the only intolerant nation!!??

Answer this please

Where are all the churches and synagogues in Saudi Arabia? Iran? Kuwait? Egypt?  Well, Egypt does have some persecuted Christians living there.

How about Indonesia? Turkey? Algeria? Morocco?  Yemen? Somolia?

The majority of countries I just named kill Christians or converts.

Where are all the visitors to Mecca? You know, the Christian or Jewish visitors to Mecca?? Oh, well, people other then Muslims are not allowed to visit Mecca.

Where is the tolerance and acceptance in the Muslim world for Christianity or Jews??

Why can’t we build churches or synagogues in those countries???  Because we are not permitted to. That’s why.

Yet we have to accept everything that Islam shoves down our throats or be called Islamaphobes.

Does anyone besides me see the hypocrisy in all this?????
